Illuminations and Sparks of Brilliance Archive of Verse Crossroads ahead; no easy answers now Still the questions come: who and what and how? Leaving behind those charming childhood dreams And into my manhood, or at least it seems How to hold on, and yet, how to let go Give me a crystal ball; I’d really like to know Yes, this is my journey, my path of only one I try to balance my work, my romance and my times of fun Influenced not, yes, that is what I desire I realize today: only I can take me higher Tears do now flow, yes, my courageous outpour And those eyes in the mirror...it is him I am here for So I look now ahead and dance with my uncertainty I make up each step on the road to my eternity Yes, I do see that I must go now for me If I am to be happy, joyous, and, yes, truly free I put on my wings and leap off this edge And the winds of Life take me to a higher ledge Yes, I do see how fear does play is games But I choose not to be captive to some artificial shame I am a man and my path is now my choice And I am empowered every time I use my voice Silence no more; no...I must speak now my truth If I am to reap my true and destined fruit Crossroads ahead, no easy answers now But as I use these wings, I do discover how How to simply navigate and create a passionate Life So I say good-night to fear and all unnecessary strife...
