Illuminations and Sparks of Brilliance Archive of Verse
with the challenges of loss...Ken And in that darkness, the cries of tearful weather Minutes of days and hours of years Sometimes drowning in a sea of tears We do not know how to comfort this pain All we know is that it continues to rain Inclined to ask, “How long will it last?” And then to ourselves, “Will this pain ever pass?” In the midst of the storm a sparrow does sing Subtle, sweet music begins healing the sting She sings about life and the fresh day anew And slowly her song does change the old view Dawn then begins to break through the night What was once darkness begins to be light Again we do breathe...one breath at a time The sparrow sings her sweet song...a so perfect rhyme We know not why the night does appear And what we don’t know, we then tend to fear But as this New Day breaks through from the night We are born once again...we are given new light...
